Treasurer
Sally Sykes is the Director of Communications and Engagement at the Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. She joined Picker as a Trustee in January 2018, taking on the role of Honorary Treasurer.
She is a senior public relations, communications and marketing professional with significant experience across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. She was appointed to the Board of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) in 2006, became Treasurer in 2009 and was elected as President in 2012. She is a Chartered PR Practitioner, a Fellow of the CIPR and of the Institute of Directors, where she attained the Diploma in Company Direction.
Sally has healthcare, communications, research and strategy experience at board level with West London Mental Health NHS Trust, (which also runs Broadmoor Hospital), the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman the Health and Safety Executive.
An English Literature graduate of the University of Leeds and with an MSc in Public Relations from the University of Stirling, Sally is from Manchester and lives in North Wales.
