Julia is passionate about healthcare, innovation and working with all stakeholders to deliver change with a particular focus on the patient, user and family voice. As Executive Director of the International COVID-19 Data Alliance, she set up and led the organisation that brought together stakeholders working around the world to harness the power of data to accelerate insights into the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 with the support of Health Data Research UK, funded by the Gates and Minderoo Foundations.

In her previous role at Human Data Sciences Company IQVIA, she played a central role in building a network of hospitals sharing information on how patients are treated for cancer to help inform care and accelerate research. The foundations of her career were in international marketing and sales and global strategy roles for GSK and GE Healthcare. She has also launched start-ups, run a healthcare think tank focused on healthy and active ageing and worked in a variety of consulting and board and advisory positions. She has an MBA from INSEAD, a degree in Biochemistry and is an EMCC-accredited coach.
