Picker welcomes four new appointments to its Board of Trustees

Picker is delighted to announce four new appointments to its Board of Trustees.  Bunie Anyaegbunam, Graham Clarke, Kendall Jamieson Gilmore, and Natalie Joseph-Williams bring a wealth of experience from the private, public, and third sectors. Together with our existing team of expert trustees, they will help to set Picker’s direction and ensure oversight of the charity’s work.

Angela Coulter, Chair of the Board of Trustees at Picker, said:

“We are thrilled to welcome our four new trustees – Bunie, Graham, Kendall, and Natalie – to the Board. Each brings distinct insights and expertise, and they represent a range of backgrounds and skills – further strengthening our ability to champion person centred care at every level. Their shared dedication to our mission will be invaluable as we work together to guide Picker’s strategy and enhance our positive impact for patients, the public, and health and care staff.”

Chris Graham, CEO at Picker, said:

“Over the past 25 years, Picker has been at the forefront of championing person centred care as an independent charity in the UK. We have played a pivotal role in raising the profile of person centred care and giving patients a say in assessing the quality of care. But our work is far from done: people remain far too likely to experience care that fails to meet their individual needs. In the UK especially, lengthy and poorly managed waits have led to rising dissatisfaction.

As health and care services grapple with these challenges, including through the development of new long term plans, our role is to ensure that patients’ needs and perspectives remain firmly at the centre. Our newly appointed trustees will support this focus, bringing a diverse set of skills and expertise to contribute to our planning and governance. We are both privileged and grateful to be able to rely on the support of a first rate Board of Trustees and look forward to working together with them to deliver on Picker’s vision of the highest quality person centred care for all, always.”
