Leading health and social care charity Picker is proud to announce its partnership with Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice, a local charity dedicated to providing free, high-quality, compassionate care and support for adults with terminal illnesses, their families, and professional carers in the London boroughs of Royal Greenwich and Bexley.
The collaboration will focus on delivering a staff survey inspired by the NHS Staff Survey to support the hospice’s People Plan, aiming to enhance staffing capacity, resilience, recognition, health, and well-being while optimising staff and volunteer expertise across the charity.
Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice has chosen Picker as its partner in this critical initiative, recognising Picker’s expertise in conducting the NHS Staff Survey, understood to be the largest workforce survey in the world.
The online survey will launch in October 2023 and will serve as a foundational tool to gain insights into the thoughts, concerns, and aspirations of the hospice’s approximately 200 dedicated staff. By doing so, it will align with the hospice’s commitment to providing exceptional end-of-life care and support for patients and their families.
Key Highlights of the Collaboration:
Ruth Horne, Project Manager at Picker, expressed excitement about this partnership, stating,
We are honoured to collaborate with Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice in their mission to provide exceptional care. As a current volunteer in a hospice setting, this is a project I am immensely passionate about. By conducting a staff survey inspired by the NHS Staff Survey, we aim to empower the hospice with the data and insights needed to cultivate a work environment where staff, volunteers, and patients receive the highest quality care and support.
Annie Klu, Head of People at Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice said,
It has been a seamless process working with Picker (especially with the Project Lead, Ruth) and a great opportunity to benchmark our survey results against that of the NHS and I look forward to future collaboration with Picker.
