Always Events®: what have we learned?

Always Events® are aspects of the patient experience that are so important to patients and family members that health care providers must aim to perform them consistently for every individual, every time.

NHS England has been using Always Events® as a methodology for working with people using services, families and carers in co-production to improve services since 2015. NHS England and Improvement (NHSE&I) commissioned Picker to evaluate the Always Events® programme to identify learning and to inform improvements.

We worked in partnership with six NHS trusts to produce case studies that summarise their Always Events® journeys. These case studies are an excellent resource for trusts wishing to learn more about implementing Always Events®. Follow the links below:
